Jim Villanueva

Hi, my name is Jim Villanueva. I have over 10 years of personal experience in computer programming, web technologies, and computer repair. I recently earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development in August 2018 and am currently leveraging my web development skills to remotely manage content for higher learning institutions.

(2015) - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery. Created site for my music projects.

(2020) - Refreshing the site this year. Fixed SSL issue. Working on fixing responsiveness issues.

Project 2

(2020) - HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL. Currently building an events registration site. Client requested pre-payment via PayPal for events and a system for checking in attendees quickly and efficiently. Coming soon.

Project 3

(2020) - HTML, CSS, MySQL, Wordpress. Revamping a website. Addressing issue with HTTPS. Client requested development and implementation of an online store. Reported that the original site's contact form is letting through spam. Site is not currently responsive or mobile-friendly.

I'm Certifiable!

Maintaining PCs, printers, operating systems, mobile devices and laptops in the workplace is also my thing! I can manage and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks with the best of 'em. I am very comfortable working with command-line tools and have no issues working within a *NIX environment.

Links to the certification exams I have taken to validate my skills have been provided for your reference.

(To pay the bills)

  • HTML

I have knowledge of HTML going back to when using that cute “under construction” gif with the guy shoveling was still cool.

  • CSS

I have used this on and off since about 2007.

  • JavaScript

  • JQuery

  • PHP

  • MySQL

  • WordPress

  • Legacy Code

Got some dusty old HTML 4, Visual Basic Macros, Pascal programs, Commodore BASIC code? Sure, I can relearn those technologies and more.
